Dear Society,
With the extremes of society receiving an obscure amount of coverage, it seems as if we as a society are moving backward.
The recent pushbacks on women’s healthcare, education, diversity, climate change, and many other crucial matters, reveal that we are not as progressive as we may seem.
These pushbacks allow me to reflect on my stance. This reflection has made me aware that while I may see our society moving backward, others may see our society as moving forward.
This inability to see eye to eye shows the division in our society. This alone shows how much growth we have in front of us as a whole.
