Friends

Dear Society,

As I get older, I find myself studying the word “friendship”.

What does it entail?

Where do boundaries lie?

What are the expectations?

What are my needs?

I’ve recently been examining my current bonds and realizing my gratefulness for some, while distancing myself from phases. In this study, I’ve recently evaluated myself as a friend to better understand what type of friend I am and can be. With this inward and outward look of my circle, I find it interesting my newfound needs. I find myself seeking interest in learning how these needs of mine change as I continue to mature. With my current state of mind, I find it important to cherish the bonds I’ve maintained and continue to nurture them as they flourish. I also find it equally as important to understand that phases include different people at different times and it’s perfectly fine to move on.
