Dear Society,
Through more and more experiences and encounters, I’m reminded daily how different we all are. Different mindsets, perspectives, values, and beliefs.
To this point, I’m reminded that my way of thinking is simply just my own. And it’s not necessarily a red flag if someone sees things differently.
This understanding, I believe, is crucial to living in our complex society. What’s needed is for us to be okay with this and to understand that your way isn’t right or wrong. It’s just your way.
To take this newfound knowledge a bit further, I’ve challenged myself to take the time to understand others fully rather than trying to pin my perspectives on them. This has resulted in an unexpected personal growth which I cherish. I find this challenge, not a challenge at all, but more so simply timely given the current division in chaos in our society. The more we open up to understanding other’s opinions and values, the better.
