Affirmation & Motivation

Dear Society,

As someone who is typically self-motivated, I find it troubling how unmotivated I have been lately. This overcasts to the point of struggling to reach the bare minimum. As I express these feelings with others, I find that I am far from alone.

To overcome this, I primarily remind myself of the fact that my current standing is where I once longed to be. This affirmation is one of many that I surround myself with.

With this in mind, let us practice the act of affirmation in two distinct ways: self-affirmation and passing onto others.

Without waiting for the “right” moment, tell someone they are extraordinary, awe-inspiring, beautiful. Simply tell someone that you are proud of them. Tell them you love them. Tell them you need them.

In most if not all aspects, this practice of affirmation is needed and benefits all parties once pride is set aside.

  1. Thanks, your Thoughts were right on Time! It was a Blessing.
“A man finds joy in giving an apt reply — and how good is a timely word!”
    —Proverbs 15:23
