Many Black Americans consider themselves a Democrat. However, reasoning varies greatly.
Some believe they have been recently faithful to a party that does not provide the same mutual faithfulness to the black community. Some feel as if the Democratic party is the lesser of the evils. On the other hand, some truly believe in and can relate to the party.
I understand all perspectives. However, it is difficult to stay faithful to a party that depends on your voice every four years but then overshadows your voice. Personally, I’m not sure where to stand since there is not a party that was created with solely African Americans and other minorities in mind.
