Dear Society,
I can only view my country behind the eyes of a black female. This country has had its trials and tribulations. We are a strong, innovative, and a determined country. It’s unfortunate that the one weak spot we have is our view on race.
Recently, this weak spot has been pushed and tested in ways it hasn’t been in decades.
Although change doesn’t occur overnight, a switch in direction can.
A switch to the right direction can create change piece by piece. Each recognized step can help us to overcome this deteriorating weak link. We have to accomplish and celebrate each and every step.
All we need is one step towards the favorable path of change.
